Your privacy,
in plain words.
Privacy policy. Effective October 23, 2026.
Emanaged Care Inc. (“Emanage Care”, “we”) makes Emanage Care, software for skilled nursing facilities. This policy explains what information we handle on this website (emanagecare.com), when you email us, and in the Emanage Care apps: the Mac app and, once released, the iPad and iPhone app.
This website
This website has no forms, no accounts, no cookies, no analytics and no advertising or tracking. The Download button checks, inside your browser, whether you are on a Mac, Windows, iPhone or iPad, to offer the right file; nothing about it is sent or stored. Checkout and the billing page are run by Stripe on its own website. Our hosting provider, Amazon Web Services, processes the technical details that every website visit involves (such as your IP address, browser and the page requested) to deliver and protect the site.
When you email us, we receive your name, email address and what you write, and use them to answer you, set up your account or provide support. Our email is hosted by Google Workspace. We keep business email for as long as we need it for these purposes. Please do not email patient information.
Buying a plan
The Buy buttons take you to a checkout page run by Stripe, our payment processor. Stripe collects your name, email address, billing address and card details under its own privacy policy. We receive your name, email address, billing address, the plan, the number of users and whether payments succeeded, but not your full card number. We use this to set up, bill and support your account, and keep billing records for as long as tax and accounting laws require.
The Emanage Care apps
Emanage Care runs on the facility’s own computer. Patient records entered into it are stored on that computer, under the facility’s control, and are not sent to us. The facility decides who may use the app and is responsible for those records under HIPAA and other laws.
A few features connect to outside services:
- Reference lookups (on by default; an administrator can turn them off): drug names and codes are sent to the National Library of Medicine and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, and provider names or NPI numbers to the CMS NPI Registry. Each request is checked so that no resident’s name, date of birth, record number or phone number is sent.
- AI features (off unless the facility turns them on): the AI assistant sends a de-identified summary to Anthropic; reading referral packets with Claude sends the packet to Anthropic and is available only after the facility confirms a HIPAA business associate agreement with Anthropic.
- Voice charting: keyboard dictation runs on the device. An optional browser speech feature, off by default, sends audio to Apple or Google.
- The iPad and iPhone app (when released) connects only to the facility’s own Emanage Care server. It does not send patient information to us, and its notifications will not name residents.
Touch ID sign-in keys stay on the facility Mac. If a facility asks us for hands-on help that involves patient information, we will provide it only under a business associate agreement with that facility.
What we do not do
We do not sell personal information, and we do not use patient information for advertising.
Children
This website and Emanage Care are for businesses and are not directed to children.
Your choices
You can ask to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you (for example, your emails) by writing to privacy@emanagecare.com. We will respond as the law where you live requires. Requests about patient records go to the facility that keeps them.
Security
We protect the information we hold with reasonable safeguards, but no method of sending or storing information is completely secure.
Changes
When we change this policy, we will post the new version here with a new effective date.
